Environmental Coordinator - Huron, Ohio

ENVIRONMENTAL COORDINATORWe are ICI Paints, and we manufacture some of the finest brands of paints, packaging coatings, caulks, and adhesives in the world, including Glidden, Ultra-Hide, Dulux, Sinclair, Devoe Coatings, Devoe Paint, Liquid Nails, Ralph Lauren,and Fuller O'Brien. We are currently seeking an Environmental Coordintator responsible for administering all Environmental compliance and regulatory issues for our Huron site and assist SHE department with other SHE site matters.Major Duties and Responsibilities:Principle Accountabilities:· 60% of the time spent on Compliance oriented activities: sample taking, tests, inspections and reports and paperwork· 30 % of the time on project oriented work· 10% issues that arise on a day to day basis, including Hazard analysisEssential Functions1. Inspections, Inspect physical locations to analyze Environmental programs and procedures and to identify possible problem areas2. Audits effectiveness of programs and makes recommendations3. Reporting for local, state, federal and company compliance reports4. Data/Sample gathering ( including consent decree sampling)5. Hazardous material evaluation and disposition/ Waste management6. Monitoring activities to insure compliance with local, state and federal regulatory bodies7. Advises management on Environmental impact of decisions, projects, etc.8. Hazard studies and evaluation ( equipment replacement, projects, etc)9. Assist in incident investigation
REQUIREMENTS
Job Requirements:· Bachelor of Science in an Environmental or Engineering major , more technical, regulatory oriented· 3 years minimum experience in a manufacturing setting· Hands on experience with environmental sampling, testing and reporting· Strong communication skills with technical and operations personnel· Professional certification is a plus· Process safety management experience a plusWe are able to offer our employees a competitive salary and benefits package that includes medical, dental, 401K, and bonus opportunity.
