Enterprise SAN and NetBackup Engineer EAGANKforce is looking to hire a seasoned Enterprise SAN and Veritas Netbackup Engineer to work in a large, complex data center in Eagan, MN.Clearance requirements Background Check done by PostalEMC Knowledge:
Knowledge and experience with all EMC SAN and NAS technologies. Excellent knowledge of EMC BCV, Snap and Clone technologies. Excellent knowledge of SAN fabric technologies (Directors, switches, zoning, etc.).
Excellent knowledge of EMC Solutions enabler. Knowledge of EMC Control Center. SRDF knowledge a plus.Backup Knowledge:
Large scale experience with Veritas Netbackup.
Experience with large implementations of ACSLS.
Knowledge and or experience with Veritas disk-to-disk backup solutions
Knowledge of StorageTec tape drives.Unix Knowledge:
Strong Unix Administration skills. (Solaris, AIX, Linux)
Excellent knowledge of LAN and TCP/IP technologies
Bourne, Korn, and Perl scripting
Veritas Storage Foundation
Veritas ClusteringOracle Knowledge:
Knowledge of rman.
Knowledge of ASM.Length: 5 yearsDesired skills and experience:
Backup specialists (Veritas, STK libraries, Timefinder)Experience in backup/restore in SAN/NAS environmentsTarget: Backup specialists (Veritas, STK libraries, Timefinder)We would like someone who is actually part architect to help the client design a new strategy and backup methodology for their entire open systems environment (SUN, Dell, IBM BladeCenters, McData SAN, NetApps-NAS). Currently, everything is to tape - any experience with backup to disk (including CDL), ILM strategy, etc. would be plus.
