Engineers with Diesel Experience
Purpose: An automotive company is looking for experienced engineers with diesel or combustion engine experience. This company has multiple openings ranging from product development to performance and emissions testing.
Job Functions:
You will be responsible for analyzing moderately complex problems and job assignments in preparing project plans. Formulates project plans aimed at developing new diesel or derivative engine, models, components, systems, ratings or resolving problems associated with these. Develop plans and schedule times according to established job priorities. Monitor work progress and resolves problems in order to ensure timely completion of projects. You will also be responsible for completing project work and draw conclusions and make recommendations. Approve, define and request the release of new or improved products (models, options, ratings) enabling the scheduling, procurement, manufacture, assembly and test of these products.
Provide management with regular reports on project work plans and status for information and resource management purposes. Maintain a neat workplace and organized information files pertaining to project work assignments. Maintains a daily record of work hours by job number for budgeting and auditing purposes per published instructions.
To be qualified for these position you must have the following. A Bachelors degree of science in engineering with at least three years experience. This experience should be related to design, manufacture, assembly or test of internal combustion engines, exhaust systems or aftertreatment. Must be familiarity with the use of personal or mainframe computers along with a basic understanding of drafting nomenclature and conventions. An understanding of the principles and operation of internal combustion engines is a must. You must be willing to travel domestic and foreign.Classification:Contract-to-HireCompensation:
