Engineers (BSEE, BSCE) or Programmers with math

L3/Titan is seeking electrical or computer engineers (BSEE, BSCE, BSECE), and programmers with strong math/physics/engineering background, for its satellite navigation (GPS) projects which support civil aviation test & evaluation, and data analysis. Positions involve assessments of new GPS/WAAS technology and analysis of Satellite signals from space being used in the US national airspace system. Duties include developing software for GPS signal analysis, requirements analysis, test plans/procedures, site testing, quantify data and present results. Prepare documentation including test reports & technical assessments.
Candidate must have good verbal and written communication skills, work well in a group and with individual assignments. Full-time positions are in support of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) at the FAA Technical Center.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Computer Sci with strong Math & Physics background, or related field. Masters degree is a plus.

(2) Experience with Unix or Java, Exposure to Object Oriented Programming (e.g., C++)PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Additional pluses are 2-8 years experience in the any of the following (not firm requirements):
Unix and Unix shell scripting, Java, C++
Data analysis and use of analysis tools such as Mathlab, SAS
Knowledge and experience with Navigation systems or sensors (GPS, WAAS, LAAS, Inertial or Doppler)
Programming skills for test tools used for simulation and test analysis.
ORACLE or SQL

L3-Titan\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s Air traffic Mgt division supports the FAA\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s R&D and Test facility in Pomona, NJ. The facility and job location is 14 miles west of Atlantic City, and adjacent to the Atlantic City International Airport. L-3 Titan\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s work at the FAA Technical center includes R&D and testing of various National Airspace systems such as: Navigation (ILS), Satellite navigation (GPS), Weather systems, Air Traffic Control Systems, ATC simulations, human factors simulations, voice and data communications, flight testing, ATC radar surveillance, etc.Some travel is likely (5 to 10%) as part of testing activities.
Must be a US Citizen or holder of a valid “ Green Card” ( Alien Registration Card). Applicants will be subject to FAA background check requirements, but military clearances are not required.
