Engineering Test Manager (Verification and Validation)

Business Unit: GE HealthcareFunction: Engineering/ Product DevelopmentResponsibilities: This manager will be formally creating the design verification function within our business, leveraging our sister businesses and our domain knowledge to create systemic and sustainable design verification processes.Establish, develop, and maintain an independent design verification function for the business. Establish the core processes, procedures, team, and lab environment necessary to support the function
Serve as the recognized authority on the standards referenced in our industry, understanding the requirements and implications for our product design processes and content, and ensuring compliance of our designs to standards
Serve as design verification owner, working cross-functionally with design teams from concept thru realization
Engage with other GE Healthcare businesses, representing the MIC business in reporting, problem solving, and advancement of verification initiatives

REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: BS Electrical, Mechanical, or Biomedical Engineering or equivalent of 10 years experience in Test Engineering.
1 yr. in an engineering department in a regulated industry.
Experience with design verification and test strategies and methods.
Experience with engineering design and change processes.
Proven leadership capabilities in keeping with a facilitative, participative environment. Able to develop people and teams and able to influence key stake holders in the business
Demonstrated track record of initiative, independence, and accountability.
Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new technologies and systems and contribute quickly.
Ability to work in a diverse global environment, influencing and collaborating with multiple cross-functional teams simultaneously.

Experience in a regulated medical device environment, familiar with FDA QSRs, MDD, IEC, ISO, etc.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures.
