Engineering Technician

Engineering Technician Location: WV Distribution Center, Mineral Wells, WV Responsibilities:
Develop standards for both direct and indirect labor, utilizing work sampling, stopwatch time study, Master Standard Data and approved methods of work measurement
Perform engineering methods, utilizing workplace layouts, process flow charts, Gantt charts, motion analysis and other approved engineering methods and tools
Develop cost analysis, issue reports and establish controls for improving labor and material usage
Undertake periodic audit of all work measurement standards in accordance with a maintained audit file
Assist leads and supervisors in training employees on correct methods and reporting
Coordinate with work measurement clerks the reporting methods utilized for tracking employee performance
Identify and suggest safety, ergonomic and method improvements Task Requirements:
1-3 years experience in related field; internship also helpful
Must be able to perform job responsibilities satisfactorily
Excellent oral and written communication skills, especially with all employee and management levels
Ability to complete project assignments in a team environment
Proficiency in Excel, Word, Minitab, and Access
Demonstration of good analytical skills
Ability to work and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
Ability to perform typical clerical functions, including typing, calculator, phone, fax machine, filing, etc.
Problem solving, analytical skills, oral and written communication required
