Engineering Team Leader

Functional Expertise:
o May participate in development of business team strategic plan.
o Leads the team responsible for the design, implementation, test and startup phases of complex systems projects.
o Identifies technologies to be used in standard offerings, new applications and extensions of current architectures or software packages.
o Responsible for identifying and communicating potential application solution-related or technology-related best practices.Leadership/Change:
o Frequently leads requirements definition, system conceptualization and high-level design efforts for complex system projects.
o Supervises the efforts of up to 15 engineering personnel on complex projects.
o Responsible for managing and scheduling technical teams to meet multiple project schedules, budgeted hours, and customer satisfaction targets.
o Manages the contract agencies for assigned business segment or geography.
o Coaches and helps develop team or assigned staff.
o Leads internal engineering improvement efforts.
o Anticipates the need for change and supports and promotes company-wide programs, strategies and initiatives.Interpersonal:
o Responsible for effective use of engineering resources
o May serve as the lead engineering interface with customer
o Frequently consults on projects led by others providing input on high-level design issues; conducts design reviews
o Creates an environment conducive to successful team interaction.
REQUIREMENTS
BS in Engineering discipline.Typically ten or more years experience in a systems, software, process automation or application engineering capacity.Experience as project manager on multiple projects with direct customer contact.Rockwell Automation offers a competitive benefit plan.
