Engineering Promotional Representative/Sales

1. Civil engineering degree. PE desirable but not required.

2. Desirable to have experience with any clay sewer pipe jurisdiction (i.e., Los Angeles, Orange County, Riverside, San Bernardino, Northern California, Phoenix, Chicago, New York).

3. Must be willing to be based out of Arizona; work Arizona territory.

4. Willing to travel Arizona region; occasional out of state travel.

5. Self-starter who works well without close supervision and has an excellent work ethic.

6. Able to plan and work a plan.

7. Able to make presentations to large and small groups, including engineers and other sophisticated audiences (i.e., politicians).

8. Must be tenacious.

9. Able to “sell” as well as promote.

10. Able to represent the Association well within and outside the industry. (ASTM Committees, NCPI).

11. Logical/analytical thinker.

12. Good listener.

13. Able to work and communicate well with others.



Duties:

Respond to Sales & Promotion needs and plans: (a) As directed by senior management; (b) As planned (targeted areas/cities); (c) As requested by sales staff.
Become familiar with appropriate ASTM’s and Association’s own product line and available product literature.
Know and understand the competition.
Understand rigid vs. flexible and bedding requirements.
Call on specifying entities/engineering firms.
Promote and get favorable specs for industries’ products. Learn how to get the edge for us: clay pipe
Maintain our position with favorable jurisdictions.
Be accountable weekly/monthly for activities.
Other duties as required.
