Engineering Project Specialist

This position is responsible for assisting engineers with documentation, financial schedule, process and non-technical general engineering related support activities with minimal supervision. Includes ongoing activities in areas such as coordinating the planning, scheduling, bidding, documentation, minimal level technical and PC tool support. Must demonstrate the ability to support several engineers, providing a wide variety of knowledge and computer skills to assist engineering projects. Must possess ability to coordinate and lead some activities as well as strong organization and analytical skills.



Coordinate the shipment and tracking of equipment.

Direct material coordinators to order and obtain parts.

Plan and facilitate meetings and follow - up actions.

Lead scheduling of FW/SW testing, verification, build, etc.

Prepare internal and customer presentations.

Lead development of engineering web pages.

Schedule, track and analyze projects for financial and milestone performance.

Manage & track EP's.

Take action to ensure follow up on action items.

Organize project documentation.

Prepare monthly reports to management and customers.

Lead activities related to DCN's & Run & Holds.

Organize flow of information.

Coordinate the Bill of Material Generation

Conduct moderate lab measurements.

Assist in the development of test procedures.



Will work in a highly technical engineering development environment providing support to design engineers. Will work on PC networks using computer tools and systems to assist engineers in the development process. Will not have design responsibility or design release authority but will assist engineers in non-technical or semi-technical tasks. Will work with engineers, engineering management, Program Management and Financial Analysts. Must demonstrate strong skill and ability to communicate with a wide variety of technical and management personnel. Possess strong computer skills, especially word processor, spreadsheet database, and presentation package used by the company. Must have the ability to coordinate several projects and complete engineering activities while balancing priorities and schedules. Must have demonstrated leadership ability in coordinating support activities. Must have the desire and willingness to commit to continued learning and education. REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree in appropriate discipline or six years related experience plus 2 years of related exempt experience.
