Engineering Manager-San Antonio

Purpose: Aerotek Contract Engineering is currently looking for an Engineering Manager for a San Antonio client. The position is a full-time position with competitive salary & benefits.

Required Education:
College level course work equivalent to an M.S. in mechanical or civil engineering and extensive experience in product design/development with considerable experience in supervision; or any combination of experience and training which results in the required knowledge, skills and abilities.


Required Skills:
Comprehensive knowledge of engineering theory and practices, and industry standards and regulations. Considerable knowledge of product costing and project budgeting processes. Good knowledge of office procedures. Ability to produce innovative, cost effective product designs and direct all phases of concept development. Ability to effectively communicate, in writing and orally. Ability to supervise and develop subordinates and maintain effective working relationships with Company and government personnel.

Duties:
Directs engineering functions and ensures all products meet patent and regulatory requirements. Determines allocation of resources and requirements for major projects. Supervises engineering managers, engineers, and office staff. Performs under the administrative direction of a division executive.
