Intro:

Job Responsibilities:
Applicant will lead a team responsible for the successful growth of the Critical Power Competency Center. Products include Power Zone 4 Low Voltage Switchgear, QED-6/QED-2 Low Voltage Switchboards equipment products and associaled PLC transfer scheme solutions.
This position is accountable for leading and managing a cross-functional team of employees participating in the procurement and engineering of orders. Serves as a liaison between Marketing, Engineering and Manufacturing, facilitating the quality and execution in response to customer driven applications and their solutions. Ensures engineering of new products and associated modifications are quickly and easily facilitated into manufacturing production. Develop and manage relationships with end-users, 3rd party integrators and suppliers within the Critical Power arena.This position is also accountable for communicating with appropriate manufacturing groups for activities of the manufacturing groups engaged in assembly, fabrication, testing, and packaging of electrical, electromechanical and electronic devices or parts. Ensures production is maintained in accordance with time schedules, engineering specifications, quality standards, expense budgets, employee safety and cost goals. Assists in maintaining a goal-oriented, safe, and quality-conscious working environment.
Position requires a Bachelors Degree in Engineering with at least 7-10 years of related work experience.
Essential Functions:I.Organizes & Develops information flow of customer information via programmatic approach ensuring the articulation of customer information into quickly actionable and executable task lists.II.Implements and maintains a total quality system which will deliver engineering orders on a timely basis with zero defects. Ensures products are engineered to meet industry and divisional standards.III.Assigns tasks to accomplish the day-to-day operations goals of the engineering team. Supervises the scheduling, design, development and testing of all department projects.IV.Generates and modifies the Bills of Materials and Drawings for the manufacturing facility.V.Maintains knowledge of new developments, machines and equipment. Recommends new procedures and initiates requests for new capital equipment purchases.VI.Plans, organizes and directs the work of assigned groups maintaining output and sequencing of production in accordance with customer service goals.VII.Prioritizes production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency and materials supplyVIII.Maintains close liaison with quality and other productive groups, keeping them informed of any product difficulties or quality problemsIX.Maintains necessary flexibility within assigned operation, ensuring effective reaction to customer requirements that frequently disrupt established production schedules.X.Coordinates introduction into manufacturing of all major projects such as new products, major methods changes, automation, etc. Promotes employee acceptance of changes.XI.Will evaluate current order to shipment cycle and implement new process to streamline getting products to the market quickerSchneider Electric Company is an equal opportunity employer.
