Engineering EE Manufacturing Engineer Veeco Instruments is a public company and the premier provider of process equipment and metrology solutions for nanoscale applications in the worldwide semiconductor, compound semiconductor, data storage, and scientific research markets. Currently, we're seeking an EE Manufacturing Engineer to join us in our Tucson, AZ facility. You will be responsible for the design of electrical/ electronic components for test equipment as well as documentation and drafting of existing and new test equipment. You will also create and document work standards for assemblies used by production; interface with vendors, engineers, purchasing and assembly personnel and work on problem resolution. Additional responsibilities include presentations to managers and fellow engineers. Other duties as assigned. To qualify, you must possess a B.S. in Electrical Engineering, a minimum of 2 years (3-5 preferred) in opto-electrical engineering and a strong background in manufacturing. Additional requirements include 3-5 years experience using ORCAD, good engineering analytical skills in order to build mathematical, computer, or electrical/ electronic models to solve engineering or design problems and analytical skill and ability to generate a range of solutions and choose the most appropriate. In addition you must have a good understanding of the qualities required of any good design, good organization skills and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
