Scientific Molding Corporation, a leader in the plastic injection molding industry & successful contract manufacturer currently has the following opportunities available.
FIRST ARTICLE INSPECTOR
Versed in reading blueprints in the GD&T format. Accurately perform and record layout measurements using micrometers, calipers, digital height gages etc. Capable of programming/using CMM measurement systems to measure sample parts.
QUALITY ENGINEER
Versed in blueprint (GD&T format) reading and have a working knowledge of mechanical measurement methods. Working knowledge of CMM measurement methods. Interface with customer in order to define specifications, develop specification measurement methods, and implement them in the development process and inspection and production operations. Responsible for defining and conducting GRR and capability studies. Responsible for supporting/performing problem solving using root cause analysis. DOE knowledge is a plus. Strong written and verbal communications skills.
PROJECT ENGINEER
Manage projects and lead cross-functional teams for design, development and validation of new products while supporting existing product lines. Solid background in plastics and excellent project management skills. BS Degree in Engineering or equivalent with 2 years of experience in plastics, 5 years of experience in manufacturing. Experience in Medical Device industry a plus.
ROBOT/AUTOMATION/2nd-OP TECHNICIAN
Self-starter needed in injection molding automation department. Responsible for programming and set-up of 3-axis servo and SCARA robots. Troubleshooting/maintenance of custom assembly equipment, automated work cells and vision systems will be required. Mechanical, pneumatic and electrical skills essential. Adept and Wittmann robot experience in an injection molding environment preferred. Seeking individuals with an ME, EE or Computer Engineering degree, or 6 years of solid automation experience. Must have good driving record.
PRODUCTION SUPERVISORS
Supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment, strong leadership and communication skills. Plastics experience a plus.
MAINTENANCE MECHANIC
Self-starter needed in injection molding maintenance department. Perform preventative maintenance duties, troubleshoot, and repair equipment in our modem facility. Mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical skills required. Must have good driving record. Plastics experience preferred.
SAMPLE/PROCESS ENGINEER
Provide support and leadership in development of injection molding processes and tools. 5 years mold development experience; strong processing and materials background required.
DESIGN ENGINEER
Minimum 2 yrs Associate Degree; 2 years of experience of design engineering in plastics; 5 Years Pro-E experience with knowledge of surfacing preferred. Proficient in lastest version of CAD programs, such as ProEngineer, SolidWorks and Cadkey. Strong project management experience.
