Job DescriptionWe are in the process of relocating some of our offices to Aiken, SC from Charlotte, NC. This position will eventually be located in Aiken, SC but will initially be located in Charlotte, NC for a temporary period of time. Position Responsibilities:Will coordinate work of other engineers. Will prepare engineering calculations, reports, studies, specifications, flow diagrams, & P&IDīs. Will interface with mechanical / HVAC designers to prepare HVAC equipment and duct layout and detail drawings. Will interface with equipment manufacturers to obtain the required data needed for design drawing development and preparation. Will interface with other dicipline engineers. Will participate in safety analysis and development of safety documentation. Must have a good working knowledge of other disciplinesī technical interface activities. Required Qualifications (include minimum years of experience and degree requirements): 15+ years experience and design and analysis of mechanical and HVAC systems for nuclear processing facilities. Must be knowable of applicable DOE and USNRC regulatory requirements. Experience in the preparation of heat gain / loss calculations, duct sizing and pressure drop calculations, equipment sizing and selection, HVAC system performance analysis, equipment & construction specifications, bid evaluations, design and construction drawings for nuclear processing facilities. Experience in the design of confinement systems and high performance filtration systems.Capable of coordinating the work of other engineers.Registered Professional EngineerDesired Qualifications (include desired certifications and/or desired education qualifications):Advanced degree in Mechnical or Chemical engineering.Member of ASHRAEExperience using the following software: Carrier HAP & Applied Flow Technology ARROW or similar software REF:CAAR153061
