Senior Mechanical Engineer:Walk on the WINE side, come work and play in Napa Valley.MK2 Engineering, Inc. has an excellent opportunity for an experienced mechanical (HVAC and Plumbing) engineer to lead our growing mechanical team. Located in the world famous Napa Valley, MK2 Engineering, Inc. is a consulting engineers firm specializing in inventive, energy efficient design of HVAC, plumbing, electrical and fire protection systems.
MK2 is currently searching for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to provide leadership for our growing mechanical department. This is an outstanding opportunity to work for a stable company that offers chance to grow with a firm that has continued to expand during the last eight years.
As a department leader you will be in charge of quality and the quantity of the mechanical engineering design products. The engineering staff under your charge will provide engineering solutions and project management for our projects in wineries, schools, commercial, institutional and health care facilities.
Technical Qualifications:Minimum 15 years of Mechanical Engineering experience with US consulting engineer’s firm(s)
BSME degree from accredited university, master degree a plus
California PE license is required
Minimum 5 years of project management and staff supervision
Knowledge of California, Title 24 Energy Standards
Excellent written and verbal communication
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel....)Responsibilities:As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will be expected to effectively coordinate projects, review quality of design product, design mechanical systems and organize staff supporting your efforts. Responsibilities include managing all aspects of mechanical design projects including system selection, equipment selection, specifications, design, layout, calculations, and field visits. You also will be responsible for oversight of the profitability and timeliness of production; support the design and engineering of mechanical systems for new installations, system retrofits, system replacement, and system upgrades.
Other responsibilities include: mentoring and training of staff engineers and designers; maintain mechanical specifications and detail library; quality assurance; work load and man power coordination; client and consultant interface; construction support services.Compensation:We offer great benefits including a friendly work environment, Medical, Dental, Vision, 125 Flex Plan and SIMPLE IRA, Vacation and PTO.
