Job DescriptionPosition Responsibilities;

Persons in this position will be responsible for developing, writing, and reviewing Procurement Specifications to obtain process equipment associated with nuclear fuel fabrication through arrangements involving Design/Build subcontracts or subcontracts for fabrication of equipment designed by DCS. Assigned individuals will interface with the Manufacturing Design Group (MDG) and other organizations within the DCS Engineering organization, the DCS Manufacturing organization, and equipment and fabrication subcontractors. Candidates will be responsible as the DCS Subcontract Technical Representative for subcontracted work and the single point of contact for DCS Manufacturing organization for monitoring completeness and technical adequacy of work progress, resolution of technical and design related issues, coordinating internal reviews of submittals, coordination of DCS subcontractor interfaces and any other issues related to management of the technical interface between the DCS Engineering organization and the organization with responsibility for delivery of process equipment.

Required Qualifications;
Degree in Mechanical, Nuclear, Chemical or Industrial Engineering or equivalent combination of education and years of experience. Eight (8) or more years of technical process, manufacturing or fabrication experience. Above average written and oral communications skills, and organizational skills. Demonstrated success in managing subcontract work or projects in the size range of $1.0M to $5.0M. Possesses self-start initiative and a positive teamwork attitude toward execution of assignments. Competent in the use of personal computers using common workplace software applications associated with Microsoft Office

Desired Qualifications
Experience working in the nuclear field related to DOE facilities, fuel fabrication facilities, or commercial nuclear power facilities.
Experience working projects that utilized Premivera P3 scheduling application
Past experience involved with procurement engineering, commercial grade dedication, procurement specification preparation, and technical representative role interfacing with subcontractors or suppliers of engineered-items
