Full Job Title: Engineer/Scientist 5, Communications & Sensor System Skills Management Title Communications & Sensor SystemJob Level: EXEMPTBusiness Component: Integrated Defense Systems (IDS)Job Description: Lead system engineering activities for complex digital processor for a satellite communications system: interface control document development, specification development and flow down, deriving requirements into sub-elements (hardware and software) internally and with teammates, verification plan development, design and trade execution and documentation. Produce functional and product specifications. Must be a hands-on leader, personally producing spec products in addition to managing and reviewing others work. Competencies 1) Technical Skills & Knowledge: Working knowledge of communications, networks and information assurance required. Experience with communications payloads incorporating digital signal processing required. Working knowledge of MilSatCom highly desired.
