Responsibilities: (Results)
This position is accountable for the day to day implementation of the Veris Quality System as well as longer-range projects including:· Participating in the development, documentation and implementation of Veris Quality System strategic direction, policies and procedures.· Developing, implementing and maintaining incoming/receiving, in-process and final inspection criteria, processes and procedures.· Monitoring and measuring overall quality performance and providing reports to Manufacturing Engineering, individual Business Units and Veris corporate.· Leading, supporting or facilitating efforts to troubleshoot and resolve quality issues and improve quality results.· Maintaining and administering corrective action system.
· Participating in New Product Introduction activities, providing documentation, oversight and input as required.· Performing internal audits.· Providing daily direction to inspectors.· Keeping abreast of quality trends and best practices, recommending changes as necessary.· Other activities as required.
Requirements:Education:4-year bachelors degree in a technical field (preferably electrical, mechanical or industrial engineering).
Experience: 5+ years previous quality experience in a high mix/medium volume electronics assembly environment. 2 years minimum experience in an internal quality auditing program. Experience with using 6 Sigma, Control Plans, FMEA and other quality tools. Computer-literate and experienced with Microsoft Office suite. Previous experience with ISO certification and compliance is a plus, as is certification as an Internal Auditor for ISO 9001 or ISO14000 systems.
