Engineer - Plant & Accessory Systems
Business Unit: GE Infrastructure, EnergyFunction: Engineering/ Product DevelopmentResponsibilities: *Provide Technical Support for Accessory System Development programs.
Conceptual Design, Optimization.
System modeling.
Prototype Test planning, participate in testing, data analysis etc.
Develop design from conceptual stage to product offering.
Field validation test.
Accessory System Analysis including, fluid flow, heat transfer, CFD modeling.
Support Combined Cycle plant system design activities involving, thermal system design and analysis, Design-To-Cost, and Design Optimization.
Work activities may include running process simulations, preparing heat and material balances, developing PFDs and P&IDs, preparing bottoming steam cycle equipment data sheets and functional specifications, supplier proposal evaluation, and participating in a variety of design reviews.
Dynamic simulation of plant systems, and system operating philosophy development.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: *B.S. in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.Desired: *MS in Engineering.
Power plant and process simulation software experience (Gate Cycle, HYSYS).
Strong interpersonal, communication skills.General: Plant and Accessory Systems Engineering - New Product Introduction (NPI) Team is responsible for the conceptual design and development of combined cycle plant systems for GE's most advanced new gas turbines such as 109H/107H, 109FB, Integrated Gasification Combined Cycles (IGCC), and other emerging power generation systems.The United States has regulations that govern the hiring of current or former U.S. Government employees.
