Engineer, Nuclear / Safety / Transient Analysis Engineer
Business Unit: GE Infrastructure, EnergyFunction: Engineering/ Product DevelopmentResponsibilities: *Perform technical evaluations and analyses in the area of plant transients, Anticipated Transients without Scram, Heat Balances and thermal hydraulic fuel channel analyses.
Perform work in compliance with NRC regulated policies and procedures.
Interface with internal and external customers on technical issues.
Experienced candidates will be expected to lead projects, train less experienced engineers, provide mentoring coaching, etc.
Support Company initiatives including Six Sigma process improvement and New Product Introduction.
Work within a team environment to perform thermal hydraulic and plant transient analyses to support a variety of applications including BWR reload analysis, power uprate and new power plant analyses.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: *B.S. Degree in Engineering Discipline (Nuclear, Mechanical, Chemical or similar).
At least 5 years of experience in the nuclear industry.
Expertise in power plant or process plant thermal hydraulics.
Expertise in liquid-vapor two-phase flow.

You must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.
If currently a GE employee, you must have been in your current position for at least 12 months and have at least a satisfactory performance rating.Desired: *Experience with BWRs.
M.S. Degree or Ph.D. in Engineering Discipline.
Experience in Transient, ATWS or other safety analysis discipline.
Experience with T/H systems codes such as TRACG, TRACE, RELAP, or RETRAN.
Knowledge of reactor licensing requirements.
Knowledge of core design or experience with 3D core simulation tools.
Experience with modeling control systems.
Demonstrated high energy and the ability to energize others.
Detail oriented and accountable for completion of work and assignments.
Team player with strong leadership capabilities.
Self-start with a positive, can-do attitude.
Clearly and confidently communicates based on deep understanding.
