Engineer II

DUTIES/RESULTS
·Assists with project scheduling and resource allocation.
·Successfully completes all assigned project tasks, independently, to the defined scope, within budget, on schedule and to the satisfaction of the internal & external customer.
·Understand, follow, and propose improvements to all Yokogawa procedures that impact assignments. Understands and follows all Yokogawa procedures that pertain to the position and assignment. Able to identify methods to improve quality through standardization and reuse.
·Accountable for developing and maintaining a working relationship with customers.
·Draft estimates for standard engineering on Yokogawa systems based on analysis of customer requirements.
·Able to develop plans for upgrade, migration, and/or replacement of existing control systems.
·Reviews proposals for accuracy regarding estimated hours and scope of work.
·Prepares the requirements and design documents/drawings based on customer’s information and guidance from more experienced engineers, as needed.
·Become skilled at designing standard process control loops, sequence logic, and operator interfaces. Work with the customer to clarify, as needed.
·Install and load applications for new or modifications at site, perform site acceptance testing, ad assist with loop checks and commissioning as needed. Interface with craft or sub-contractors as required.
·Able to modify existing systems on-line, including tuning standard control loops and troubleshooting control applications.
·Responsible for customer satisfaction, both internal and external, with engineering portion of a project’s deliverables in designated area of responsibility.
·Responsible for minimizing project and overhead costs associated with areas of responsibility by ensuring that all activities and expenses are charged to the correct access and project/cost codes and that timesheets and expense reports are submitted in a judicious manner.
·Assist with assembling databases, summaries, or other information as required to support preparation of engineering estimates.
·Prepares sections of the requirements and design documents/drawings based on customer’s documentation specifications.
·Conducts informal customer training, either at the customer’s site or at a Yokogawa facility.
·Develop and/or administer standard factory or site test guides. Experienced with the target and targetless test functions.
·Must keep up-to-date with current developments in the process control and instrumentation field, including state-of-the-art activities in industrial controls and apply new knowledge to job functions as applicable.
·Successfully complete all assigned projects to the defined scope, on schedule & to customers specifications.
·Responsible for providing uncompromising quality to all work processes in designated area of responsibility. Has the authority to stop those work processes at any time if it is believed quality is being compromised.
·Understands and follows all Yokogawa procedures that pertain to the position and work assignments. Able to identify methods to improve quality through standardization and reuse.

REQUIREMENTS
Education: B.S. degree in engineering (Chemical, Mechanical and Electrical)

Prior Experience: Minimum of 2-5 years experience in process control. Must have demonstrated good written and verbal communication skills.
