Engineer 4_Environmental-Lake Charles, LA

Position Summary: This position will involve providing senior-level technical assistance and support related to environmental permitting, compliance, and assessment. Specific job duties include, but are not limited to:



1) Preparation of environmental permit applications and related documents;

2) Providing engineering services as needed to support permitting.

3) Manage projects



Prepare calculations and reports to document the proposed designs. Travel to jobsites to assess or obtain as-built configurations; perform feasibility and constructability reviews; and support construction phases of projects.



Requirements: Candidates must have, at a minimum, a bachelor´s degree in civil or environmental engineering curriculum, with a minimum of 8+ years experience with permitting and environmental issues associated with coastal construction projects. Candidates for this position should be self-motivated and comfortable working in a team environment.



Job Conditions: Although the position is primarily based within an office setting, candidates must be able/willing to perform and/or oversee limited field activities, such as sampling and facility auditing. This could require the use of varying levels of personal protective equipment, depending on the nature of the site.



Travel for this position will mostly be limited to in state travel, but may require overnight stays on an infrequent basis.



Although work weeks are generally 40 hours, candidates should be prepared to work overtime, as needed to meet project goals.
