We currently have a position available for Engineer II – Test Equipment A major supplier of high quality Pointing, Guidance, Control and Positioning equipment for satellites, artillery, and launch vehicles, serving the military, commercial and government markets. The division's products and capabilities include Fiber Optic Gyros, Ring Laser Gyros, Momentum and Reaction Wheel Assemblies, Control Moment Gyros, Tactical Inertial Measurement Unit, Position Navigation Units and Fire Control and Digital Battlefield Solutions. Space & Navigation has provided state-of-the-art systems for critical and strategically important space and national defense programs as well as being the premier supplier of precision pointing and position location systems for the US Army.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF POSITION:
The Engineer II – Test Equipment plays a major role in the support of Circuit Card (CCA) and System level test equipment, including ancillary equipment.
This function trains and assists test equipment hourly personnel, determines test equipment requirements, evaluates test equipment capacity and availability for production.
The design and fabrication of special test equipment; coordinates documentation for the T/E Engineering department. Plays a major role in troubleshooting and repairing test equipment used for CCA and System level testing.
Has the technical expertise to support the production floor test equipment and is a key liaison with the Test Equipment Lab personnel.
Interfaces with outside vendors regarding the maintenance, calibration and repair of test equipment as well as the pricing and availability of parts/material to support the equipment.
Perform Optical calibrations on rate tables etc.

KEY SUCCESS FACTORS: (SPECIFIC EXPECTATIONS DURING NEXT 6-18 MONTHS)
Demonstrate understanding of test equipment the software to run it and successfully trouble shoot equipment problems.
Ability to complete test equipment calibration requirements in a timely fashion.
Work results are reviewed for agreement with program objectives.
Performance of responsibilities of position in accordance with L3 standards for teaming and behavior skills.

ATTRIBUTES/SKILLS REQUIRED/SOUGHT:
Team Player
Strong communications skills
Knowledgeable on calibration standards: Mil45662, ANSI Z-540 and ISO 17025
Knowledgeable on calibration best practices.
Is PC literate – MS DOS, Windows, MS Office suite, etc.
Demonstrated Training/Coaching skills
Capable of trouble shooting analog and digital electronics
Has the ability to use a theodolite and related equipment or the willingness to learn

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION REQUIRED/SOUGHT:
BSEE degree in Engineering or equivalent experience is required. Minimum 2-4 years test equipment related experience.
