Reports to: Director Supply Base Technology SupportJob Summary:
The Senior Casting and Process Engineer is responsible for casting and other supplier evaluations, support to the selection and development of new suppliers, achievement of cost reduction initiatives, resolution of supplier production issues, resolution of supplier design issues, support to supplier Lean and Six Sigma activity, measurement and monitoring of supplier process capabilities and support to supplier qualification activities.Responsibilities to Include:
Performs complicated and difficult engineering work requiring a high degree of technical competence.
Plans, schedules, conducts, or coordinates detailed phases of the engineering work in a part of a major project or in a total project of moderate scope.
Performs work which involves conventional engineering practice, but may include a variety of complex features such as conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials, and difficult coordination requirements.A Textron Company
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors Degree with 5 - 7 years experience.
Masters Degree with 3 - 5 years experience.Position Requirements:
Bachelor degree and 5-10 years experience in casting fabrication and processing.
Significant experience in technical support to supply base activity.
Strong technical, leadership and communication skills.
Ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities and strong motivation to complete tasks highly desirable.
Extensive experience in casting processes, treatment and NDT.
Broad knowledge of precedents in the specialty area and a good knowledge of related specialties.License and Certification Requirements:
