Energy Coordinator

Responsibilities:
Provide technical expertise for Honda of America Mfg., Inc. (HAM) Corporate Facilities and Environmental Group and other Honda North American operations projects. Manage energy commodity delivery for cost, quality, and balancing. Manage and monitor energy legislative and regulatory impacts. Develop and manage strategic planning for long term energy procurement and energy reduction. Manage the company consumption of industrial energy. Prepare and present company communication planning for all energy procurement contracts to Honda North American operations.Daily Tasks:
Manage energy commodity delivery for cost, quality, and balancing daily (electricity and natural gas balancing of delivery consumption to meet contractual obligations for the lowest cost outcome).
Perform additional tasks and/or special projects as requested.Experience:
Minimum of five years experience as an Energy Engineer or Energy Manager requested. Experience in the areas of energy regulation and monitoring, electrical transmission high voltage, demand side energy, high voltage substations. Prior project management experience in the field of energy.Knowledge:
Understanding of energy commodity and procurement in the areas of electricity and natural gas. Knowledge of natural gas transportation systems, Understanding of high voltage transmission systems. Large industrial energy management.
Green factory knowledge is preferred.Required Skills:
Proven skills with electricity and natural gas procurement (energy regulation and monitoring, electrical transmission high voltage, demand side energy, high voltage substations).
Effective oral and written communications skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) software.
Able to make oral and written proposals and presentations.Desired Skills:
Large industrial energy management skills.
Real time pricing energy procurement (buy and sell).
Ability to work independently and as the member of a project team, demonstrating both self-starter and team player traits.
Ability to establish beneficial internal and external relationships through project and daily management contact with plant departments, suppliers, engineering and contractor firms, and governing agencies.Degree:
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or other Engineering is desired or equivalent experience.
