Embedded Systems Test Engineer

PRIMARY PERFORMANCE SKILLS
1 Provide functional test support for Cisco routers and switches
2 Develop and change Cisco test programs using C type code in Unix environment
3 Responsible for modeling and implementing Cisco ECN's, operating system changes, diagnostic changes or other test enhancements
4 Assuming 24 hour Cisco hotline calls -- escalations from Solectron support engineering team to Cisco
5 Focal point between Solectron and Cisco on test scripts, test hardware and product issues.
6 Will be supporting the Cisco products directly reporting to the Cisco test manager as his representative at SolectronTECHNICAL JOB SKILLS/PHYSICAL OR EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
BSEE, BSCE or BSEET
Strong programming skills with C ,C+, or Tcl
Strong component level debug skills
Proficient with test instrumentation
Good knowledge of embedded diagnostics
Good communication, documentation, customer interface, and team skills
Prior experience with Cisco architecture, specifically GSR or 12000 series product.
Previous training in Cisco Klemtest, KCS, CCNA, Labview, CNF, Cisco Parametric Platform is a plusEqual Opportunity Policy
