Flight SW Lead Provide leadership, guidance and coordination of the ground support equipment software development activities performed. Define and refine the flight software architecture. Owner of the flight software requirements and requirements validation. Monitor and report flight software progress status. Provide technical leadership to the flight software development team. Will require frequent travel to Houston. Human Space Flight experience desired. Previous interface w/NASA customer a plus. ESF Req 214122 Position is contingent on CEV Authority to Proceed expected in September '06.
General Position Description:
Designs, develops, operates, and maintains software and firmware components and computing systems software to be applied to and integrated with engineering, scientific, and manufacturing requirements. Applies the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the system development life cycle to support the generation of such engineering applications and products such as laboratory simulation systems, airplane flight control and display systems, avionics, mechanical and electrical systems, weapons armament, commercial and military aircraft systems, mobile and ground-based defense systems, space systems, and other systems and applications of this nature. Interfaces with customers, suppliers, application users, and other technical and support personnel.

Desired Skills:
Human Space Flight experience., Previous interface with NASA.
Minimum Required Education:
Bachelors degree in an engineering/technical discipline from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 20 years or more of professional experience; or 18 years with a related Masters, or 15 years with a related PhD degree. Viewed as the most senior authority in discipline.
