Embedded Firmware Engineer

We are a fabless semiconductor startup company focused on the IEEE 802.15.3a ultrawideband (UWB) wireless personal area networking (WPAN) space. We are located in the highly desirable Dallas suburb of Allen with other high tech companies in the north Dallas technology corridor. We offer the opportunity to join an early stage startup working in an exciting, emerging sector of wireless networking. Compensation will include incentive stock options (ISOs), and relocation is available.

Job responsibilities include
* developing firmware and device drivers for the company's leading-edge ultrawideband communications products;
* participating in the development and documentation of system software architecture;
* verifying correct functioning of both the aforementioned software and the company's hardware;
* and field support.
REQUIREMENTS
BS in CS or a related field (or equivalent work experience) and outstanding technical and communication skills are required. In addition, 7 to 10 years of technical experience in software development is required.

**EXPERIENCE WITH DEVELOPING EMBEDDED FIRMWARE FOR HIGH SPEED COMMUNICATIONS IS A MUST**

* Software implementation experience with one or more IEEE 802 Local Area Network (LAN) and /or IEEE 802 Personal Area Network (PAN) wireless Medium Access Control (MAC) protocols such as IEEE 802.11 Wireless Ethernet and/or IEEE 802.15.3 Wireless PAN is desirable.

* Experience with the following is a plus: NDIS, Microsoft Windows OS device drivers for communications adapters, USB, PCMCIA / CardBus, embedded operating systems, ARM or MIPS processors, high speed bus master host interfaces, and software field support.
