The ETS Associates will be responsible for providing technical support for hundreds of local and remote users for a variety of front office electronic trading applications. By working on the trading floor in SIG's global headquarters, these individuals gain exposure to an array of financial instruments, different businesses and the wider technology organization.The ETS Associates are tasked with managing the real time status and functionality of systems and identifying, investigating, and resolving user and system problems. Additional position responsibilities will include assisting in the testing and rollout of new software, and modifying files, system parameters and user configurations. This role will utilize programming skills to write scripts and small applications to engineer the production environment for efficient maintainability and better reliability. REQUIREMENTS
Minimum 2 years experience in a support, administrative or development role.Excellent communication and organizational skills.Ability to work on multiple tasks in a fast paced environment as an individual contributor or team member.Experience with UNIX and Windows Operating Systems as well as their basic applications such as editors and spreadsheets.Ability to work flexible hours.Occasional travel may be required to remote offices.Programming experience or scripting experience (PERL, UNIX shell scripts.Knowledge of SQLKnowledge of financial markets, products and/or market data is a plus.Excellent problem solving skills.Leadership or management experience is a definite plus.
