Electronic Technician / Assembler

Work for a Northern New Jersey area Test Engineering Company serving the Medical, Aerospace, Automotive, and Communications industries.

Electronic Technician/Assembler:

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:
Fabricates electronic systems, components, or parts in accordance with instructions/specifications.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1.Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists.
2.Gathers parts, subassemblies, tools and materials.
3.Positions parts and subassemblies using templates or reading measurements.
4.Assembles components, examines connections for correct fit, fastens parts and subassemblies.
5.Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications.
6.Verifies and recommends changes to items on print.
7.Notifies supervisor of major difficulties and/or to obtain additional resources.
8.Maintains safe and clean working environment through compliance with procedures, policies and regulations.
9.Checks stock to determine inventory level and notifies supervisor if supply is inadequate for project.
10.Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish results.
11.May be required to layout and make prototype parts, such as panels and machine parts.
12.Works as a team member to accomplish results.
13.Maintains excellent attendance to ensure position responsibilities are met.Job Requirements
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
High school or equivalent education. Must possess 1+ years experience in electronics assembly, ability to read engineering drawings, with demonstrated ability to work from prints or other documentation.
