Electronic Graphics Operator

Business Unit: NBC UniversalFunction: Broadcast OperationsResponsibilities: Ability to operate character generators to play out lower third text and various graphics to air while maintaining high technical operations standards within a fast paced live news television production control room. The Electronic Graphics Operator is additionally responsible for organizing data, creating lower third and full screen graphics, generating effects for live broadcasts and in pre-production, and assisting in checking content for accurate spelling and grammar.~HJ~
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree or Live control room experience in a news environment.Experience working with Pinnacle Systems FX Deko II, INEWS newsroom computer system, Microsoft Windows operating systems, and related office software.Flexibility with respect to hours necessary. Must be available to work weekends, holidays, nights and hours beyond regular shift with little notice. Must be able to work all shifts, including weekends and Holidays and be willing to change schedule with little or no notice if needed. Must be able to work additional hours beyond schedules as requestedMin 1 year experience working under director's instruction with GC elements within electronic rundownDesired: Experience with Inews Control Air workstation and Proximity Xenostore Graphics content management system helpful Aadvanced PC computer skills a plus.
Ideal candidate must be able to meet deadlines, work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks. Excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to think quickly and keep pace with fast moving shows is also required.
