Electronic Funds Transfer (ACH) Specialist
Responsible for performing functions related to Electronic Funds Transfers. Responsible for daily Automated Clearing House origination procedures, including processing and transmitting files from clients and ACH system processors, returns, reversals, death notices and reclamations. Set up, verify and maintain all EFT clients' files and notifies offices of errors, and processes through proper agencies. Disperses notices to clients of EFT activity and Direct Deposits. Maintains required reports and logs. Recognizes and resolves technical problems with equipment and software for department and clients. May perform reconciliation's of settlement and work-in-progress accounts. Other duties as assigned.EFT/ACH Specialist I, N12 - Typically requires High School diploma or equivalent and 0 - 2 years related experience. Limited use and/or application of basic principles, theories, and concepts. Basic knowledge of accounting, balancing, Clearing House procedures, banking and pc skills.EFT/ACH Specialist II, N13 - Typically requires a High School diploma or equivalent and 1+ years of directly related experience. Full use and application of standard principles, theories, concepts, and techniques. Working knowledge of accounting, balancing, Clearing House procedures, banking and pc skills.EFT/ACH Specialist III, N14 - Typically requires a High School diploma or equivalent and 2+ years of directly related experience. Broad application of principles, theories, and concepts in applicable discipline. Proficient knowledge of accounting, balancing, Clearing House procedures, banking and pc skills.EFT/ACH Specialist IV, N15 - Typically requires a High School diploma or equivalent and 4+ years of directly related experience. Contributes to the development of new theories and methods.
