Electrical Controls Engineer - Robotics - open as of 9-19-06

Fortune 1000 respected company has an opportunity at a major plant in eastern GA in attractive lower cost area. This career position will involve electrical controls engineering in a high volume plant that has much automation and utilizes robots. The processes at the plant include machining, assembly and die cast. Will do project management in a team oriented environment and will update programs. There will be a slight amount of troubleshooting. It is an Allen Bradley PLC environment. Will perform a variety of engineering assignments to develop and implement production processing methods and controls to meet quality standards in a cost efficient manner. Will observe and suggest methods of manufacturing during design of new products to allow manufacture by the most favorable methods (DFM).
REQUIREMENTS
Required for this opportunity is at least 3 years of professional engineering experience. Must have also a BSEE, BSME or bachelor degree in a related field. Need to have drive and ambition and be an initiative taker. Also required is project management experience. Must have robotics experience. Must have extensive PLC programming experience and Allen Bradley PLC experience. Need also to have strong troubleshooting skills. Pluses are mechanical / pneumatic / hydraulic troubleshooting skills, machine qualification run-off, familiarity with Devicenet and Six Sigma methodology experience. Specifically Fanuc robots experience is also a plus.
