Electrical Control Panel Engineer/Application Eng/MRO Experience

Newly created position to act as an Electrical MRO Expert within our Corporate R&D Department.
This person will be the expert on the product, Electrical Control Panels, and go to different MRO companies to find new opportunities for their products at these firms. They will also be responsible for innovative ideas of new products that they can make.

Responsible for researching new industries as well for this technology.

•Conduct detailed research of electrical MRO technologies and applications. Identify product opportunities.
•Develop preliminary business justifications for new products and preliminary technical specifications
•Conceptualize and document innovative solutions, and demonstrate technical feasibility via proof-of-concept models, often working closely as part of a team with technical personnel from Corp R&D and other divisions
•Work with marketing, business development, and other functional groups in a consulting role to help develop complementary products and supporting collateral
•Participate in standards and best practices development for products in the MRO market
•Other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
Prefer someone with a MSME. Try BSME, BSEE or equivalent as well as any MS.
•Minimum of 5 years experience in design engineering, application engineering, sales engineering panels, or engineering management in MRO or MEP firms.
•Knowledge of control panel design and implementation, harsh environment applications (e.g. oil and gas; heavy manufacturing), and high technology applications (e.g. pharmaceutical manufacturing), etc.
•Familiarity with applicable NEC, NFPA, ANSI/ISA and UL codes/standards governing electrical control panels and other products used in MRO industries
•Understanding of industrial networking technologies (i.e. fieldbus) commonly used
•ISA (Instrumentation, Systems and Automation Society) Certification a plus

Can be applications engineers who have extensive experience working with clients and companies as a technical arm with extensive experience with control panels.
Needs to be very innovative and creative to come up with new products or applications in the market.
