Job Purpose: To provide editorial and operational supervision over workflow procedures, maintenance, execution and maintenance of data quality control initiatives, source management activities, and database development projects.

OPERATIONS Responsible for all internal and external production processes. troubleshooting and resolving technical, data, or other production errors and problems. Liaise with BD and IT on technical and operational aspects of all database projects (for CPX, PCH. LIT, PAT, Chimica), and selected operations with BD to assure work by BD meets Ei's quality and timeliness standards. Accountable for other production. maintenance, or operations activities, such as supervising production of some locally-produced print products, and addressing resolving data inquiries and problems. In coordination with manager, develop and implement standards, practices or procedures to improve operational efficiency and accuracy. QUALITY ASSURANCE Manage internal error system. Responsible for regular communication of all data errors to BD via DPR program. Track all errors in database to resolution. Formulate and implement, in cooperation the Editorial Content Supervisor and BD, the definition, and continuous improvement of data selection indexing procedures, practices and measures for all databases In order to fulfill business and customer expectations. Supervise weekly data load monitoring for quantity. quality and coverage across databases (CPX, PCH). Responsible for following up on and resolving any and all identified. •Knowledge of bibliographic database management; bibliographic data sources, standards; editorial procedures and processes.
•Understanding of relational database management systems; XML, UNIX, SQL.
•Proficient in the use of office productivity tools including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and Project
•Ability to understand and operate according to strategic goals, business and customer requirements.
Required Education & Experience:
•BA/BS minimum degree requirement, preferably in Engineering or some other scientific discipline. Library Science is also acceptable.
•3-5 years office experience preferable in database/secondary publishing or production-oriented position.
•Excellent English-language oral and written communication skills.
•Reading knowledge or French, German, Italian and other languages helpful.
