SPECIFIC JOB DESCRIPTION: This position is for a ERP Data Base Analyst Staff position, working for Lockheed Martin Enterprise Information Systems (EIS). This project is an SAPBW Version 3.5 initiative that the Lockheed Martin Corporation is undertaking to enable the user community to have greater access to important financial data that will be delivered to them via a web portal. The methodology for implementing SAP BW V3.5 is to take a phasing in approach, meaning that we will look at specific data sources one at a time. The data source that will become our first DW is the data that feeds the corporate Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
The position is based in Bethesda, Md. The core working hours are 8-5 eastern M-F, however most of the project team are here beyond that time. The project has a very aggressive schedule. The successful candidate must be a team player and be able to hit the ground running. This initial implementation is expected to have a Go Live of August 2006.
The SAP BW DATA WAREHOUSE ANALYST is responsible for all (BW Application - Back-End and Frond-End)development deliverables assigned via the project per the methodology, ensuring a sound application design; responsible for the design of all custom conversion/transformation and interface software components, including modules, job streams and programs to extract, cleanse and transform the source data into load files that are used to load the physical databases; will provide alternative BW business solutions around applications.

Be able to create Master Data with hierarchies, navigation and time-dependent attributes, InfoObjects, InfoSources, InfoCubes, ODS objects, transfer rules, update rules, process chain, and schedule load. Able to identify and activate SAP BW Business Contents particularly financial. Able to load data into target (Master table, ODS, Infocube) with data from different source systems (SAP R/3, flat file). Familiar with SAP BW Business Explorer BEX Analyzer. Understand star schema fact and dimensions. Familiar with slow changing dimensions. Analyze functional requirements and assist in the development of detailed BW data mapping documentation. Assists the Data Architect and DBA in the development and maintenance of BW aggregates, external hierarchies, indexes, and other InfoObjects. Develops a list of enhancements as needed. Responsible for all data extraction/transformation and transport development assignments (I.e., InfoSources, InfoCubes, InfoObject Catalogs, etc.). Design all custom conversion/transformation and interface software components, including modules, job streams and programs to extract, cleanse and transform the source data into load files that are used to load the physical databases. Including DBConnect configuration as needed. Provide detail source-to-target mapping for the metadata repository, transformation rule identification and detailed design recommendations for custom-developed software. Support cross-platform development, integration with data transformation, security, job scheduling, database loading tools, source code control and release management/configuration management tools. Provide support to: BW Data Sourcing application error resolution and emergency coding changes/fixes, BW Job scheduling and Job/Process error resolution, BW Data content, problem analysis and error resolution. Demonstrated ability to navigate BW toolset and maintain an understanding of the functionality and capability for each of the BW tools (query creation, infoprovider creation, ETL process, monitoring, etc?)
Ability to travel up to 50% if required.

STANDARD JOB DESCRIPTION: Installs, releases upgrades, insures security, performs validation checks, corrections, and production migration support, from test environment to production in SAP or PeopleSoft client/server enterprise applications. Provides turning on various applications and database environments. Competent in skill requirements necessary to administer and maintain a relational database and all aspects of database applications.
