EOC Engineer - #22400EOC

We are currently recruiting a EOC Engineer for our client located in the Miami area.

This position provides first point of contact support to end users on technical issues in a 24x7 Help Desk operations center.

Duties include monitoring, supporting and maintaining network equipment on a global network.

You will also support and perform maintenance on the file and application server hardware, software and monitor network, server and application performance availability.

You must have the ability to perform routine administrative duties for the supported servers and network devices and will be responsible for monitoring performance and availability of key business applications.
REQUIREMENTS
Success factors include:

. An understanding of technology infrastructure including UNIX, Windows server, remote support, telecom, Netware, desktop support and ISeries.

. Be knowledgeable in LAN/WAN networking, communication protocols, configuration and network problem solving.

. BSCS or equivalent work experience. Job related technical certifications preferred.

. A minimum of 3 years experience in a technical troubleshooting environment with at least 2 years of experience supporting several of the following: NT4/2000 servers, Microsoft back-office, Linux, Solaris or UNIX.
