NRG Energy, a world-leading electric power producer, has
an immediate opening for an experienced professional Environmental Engineer to ensure compliance with federal, state and internal regulatory regulations for Devon Power and Connecticut Jet Power in the areas of air, water and hazardous waste. Key responsibilities will include preparation of regulatory filings, working with station personnel to obtain environmental data, and training station personnel. This individual will also act as project engineer for various undertakings within the plants. The position requires a bachelor's degree in environmental engineering or a related science, and extensive experience developing, coordinating and administering procedures and programs to meet regulatory compliance. Preference will be given for a power industry background. Local travel is required.
