EHS Coordinator

Basic Function: Under the direction of the EHS Manager, establish and promote a safe, accident free, and healthy work environment. Plans and coordinates environmental activities and training to maintain compliance with Corporate, State, Local and Federal regulations. Provide assistance to department heads to promote and maintain a productive EHS culture.


Essential Duties:

- Manage all regulated waste streams. This includes manifesting, coordinating removal, ensuring waste profiles are current, ensure appropriate storage and also track inventories.


Ensure compliance with all environmental permit requirements (air, storm water, waste water, waste generation). This includes permitting, recordkeeping, inspections and reporting.


Ensure compliance with Federal, State, Local and Corporate regulatory programs (i.e. SPCC, TSCA, RCRA, EPCRA, etc.)


Assist with incident investigations to ensure completeness and accuracy, Also assist with development of corrective actions. - Assist with the scheduling of behavioral based safety audits.


Maintain and update health and safety programs.


Develop and conduct safety training


Facilitate completion of Job safety analyses


Facilitate completion of job hazard assessments


Position Requirements:


3-5 years experience in Environmental, Health and Safety field.


Bachelor's Degree - Occupational Safety & Health Sciences, Engineering, related field, or equivalent experience.


Knowledge of applicable EHS regulations/legislative processes.


Good computer skills, demonstrates initiative, good interpersonal skills, ability to work with all levels of the organization, good oral and written communication skills, ability to work in a team environment.
