EDI Support Specialist (Stamford, CT)


Job Description

This position is critical to the effective operation of our support functions and the efficient communication necessary for a market leader in an increasingly competitive business environment.
The position is responsible for managing purchase order data, critical point of sale data used for forecasting, and invoicing and shipping data.
The role is also responsible for mapping, partner setup, mailbox control, process control, archive functions, and documentation related to our EDI systems.
It is responsible for maintaining our internal Message Broker and MQ Series tables.
It works directly with the EDI Project Leader and reviews project status and results with the Systems Development Manager.
The EDI Support Specialist will participate in a number of team-based projects and initiatives and will be required to share knowledge and expertise with other members of the IT group.

Required Qualifications:
Experience Requirements:
Preferred Profile

Qualifications and Experience. A bachelors degree or equivalent experience. 3-5 years experience working with EDI services. Demonstrate proficiency with Windows NT and Gentran NT. Knowledge of Visual Basic and SQL would be helpful.
Effective written and oral communication and problem solving skills.
Experience debugging errors that arise from mapping.
Proven experience of taking project ownership and working in teams.
