SUMMARY
Prepare shop fabrication plans for commercial office furniture composed of plastic, metal, or wood.


RESPONSIBILITIES
* Draft shop sketches showing style, size, shape, configuration of internal components and external appearance of products utilizing AUTOCAD and 3-dimensional design software.
* Modify drawings as needed.
* Resolve discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
* Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.Job Requirements
REQUIREMENTS
* Candidates must have experience from a manufacturing, furniture, or structural design industry.
* Strong math and engineering design skills.
* Candidate must have excellent organization and communication skills.
* Hands on design experience with woods, metals, plastics, laminates or veneers.
* Ability to work with AutoCAD 2002 or above. 3-D design software experience is preferred.
* Furniture design experience a plus, but not required.
* 3-5 Years experience.


SALARY
$17.00 to $22.00 per hour


DURATION
6 mo. Contract to Hire / PERMANENT
* This is a PERMANENT position based on the proven ability and experience of the employee.
* During the first 6-9 months of employment an employee will be on a probationary period or contract. During this time the employee's work will be evaluated. If the employee has completed his or her position's responsibilities in a consistent and satisfactory manner according to company guidelines, the position will become PERMANENT.
