Description:
The Systems Engineer Regional Manager is expected to work closely with Personnel and Channel Partners towards successfully closing customer accounts.
The Systems Engineer Regional Manager is expected to be an active participant in the Sales Process, ensuring that all customer technical questions are addressed expeditiously and accurately.
The Systems Engineer Regional Manager will work closely will all individuals affecting their assigned geography, vertical or discipline within the Sales Process.
The Systems Engineer Regional Manager will manage the Technical aspects of all Customer Accounts for their region, until such time it is necessary to transition to Technical Support.
The Systems Engineer Regional Manager will plan Professional Services engagements in conjunction with their Regional SE’s, ensuring that all activities are properly documented, milestones are recorded, and accountabilities maintained.
The Systems Engineer Regional Manager must be able to manage his or her territory technical activities with minimal oversight, ensuring that all activities are prioritized properly.
The Systems Engineer Regional Manager must be able to conduct a Technical Training course based on a pre-determined curriculum for a variety of student types.
The Systems Engineer Regional Manager will do all other activities deemed necessary towards the successful closure of Sales accounts.
Other Requirements:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially presentation skills with the ability to present to all audience types and sizes.
Strong problem-solving, listening and project management skills.
Valid passport required.
Requirements:
Microsoft Desktop/Server Operating Systems, including but not limited to Windows 95/98/NT 3.x and 4/2000/XP
Understanding of Microsoft network systems such as Active Directory, Windows Domains, DNS, DHCP, WINS, and name resolution.
Understanding of TCP/IP, Windows Networking, HTTP, ICA, RDP, FTP, SMTP, SNMP, etc.)
Understanding of protocols such as USB, IDE, SATA, SCSI, Serial (PS2, RS485).
Networking (network cards, drivers, switches, hubs, routers, firewalls)
Familiarity with Linux and/or Unix (as a server and workstation)
Understanding of desktop management systems such as Microsoft SMS, HP Openview, CA Unicenter, LANDesk.
In depth understanding of system imaging and deployment including SID regeneration and imaging tools.
Understanding of Intel architecture, specifically focusing on desktop, workstation and server chipsets and their supporting architectures.
Ability to build and configure a network with clients, servers, software and hardware.
Ability to manage a team of Technical professions in a Sales Organization.
Education Requirements:
BS/BA or equivalent
5 years Advanced IT or Systems Engineering experience a must
3 years Management experience a must
