Director, Corporate Engineering

RESPONSIBILITIES
-Assists business units in strategic and facility plan development and optimization.
-Participates in and provides support for the achievement of goals for the Center for Packaging Innovation
-Provides leadership in company-wide shared learning and practices in the protection of essential corporate interests.
-Works closely with business unit and corporate leaders to ensure alignment with overall business objectives.
-Sponsors cross-functional and cross-business teams and encourages use of innovative approaches to identify and implement optimal business solutions.
-Establishes and maintains engineering related policies and procedures for MeadWestvaco
-Oversees department resource allocation, budget, schedule and preferred engineering alliances
REQUIREMENTS


REQUIREMENTS
-Fifteen plus years industrial experience with emphasis on capital program development and implementation of capital projects or a combination of manufacturing leadership and capital investment responsibility
-Proven management and leadership experience.
-Four year science / engineering degree minimum, advanced degree preferred
-Previous leadership in a matrixed engineering environment preferred.
