Direct Material Productivity Leader

Business Unit: GE Infrastructure, EnergyFunction: Engineering/ Product DevelopmentResponsibilities: * Support Nuclear Energy's Direct Materials Productivity (DMP) initiative.
Coordinate DMP efforts of assigned business (Fuels, Services, New Units).
Ensure full utilization of Events Tracker for DMP project tracking and tollgate compliance.
Track status of DMP actuals to targets.
Provide regular DMP project status updates to management.
Interface with GE Energy Direct Materials Productivity Leaders to drive and promote cost-out synergies.
Identify and leverage DMP best practices.
Utilize WO!s and other idea-generating methods for identifying cost-out projects. * Support Finance on DMP project audits.
Work with Engineering/Finance to calculate product cost.
Track and report monthly Engineering programs budget status per Op Plan,.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: * Minimum 5 years of business experience.
Four-year degree in engineering or related field.
GB Certified (GE employees only).Desired: * BB or MBB certification (GE employees only).
Self-starter with strong technical and analytical abilities.
Project management skills.
Demonstrated attributes: high energy level, teamwork, change orientation, accountability, and customer focus.
Strong commitment to Cost of Quality.General: *Position can be filled at a lower band.
