Direct Hire - Senior Software Engineer (Fixed Income) New York

Comsys Information Technology Services, a leader in IT staffing, is supporting a client in New York, NY. They are seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Fixed Income) for a permanent full time position.

The Position is for development and maintenance of proprietary distributed databases handling real-time financial market data and reference data. Position calls for 50% maintenance (troubleshooting, bug fixing) and 50% new development (mostly functional changes to existing code involving low-level design, coding, and integration testing; some "from scratch" new development possible). As developer obtains more specific experience there can be opportunities for growth into requirements analysis, high-level design, and project leadership.

Work as a team member of Market Data team to develop and enhance applications in the use of Terms and Conditions. Assist on the development of a pricing product by providing the T&C required to generate analytics and facilitate searching.

REQUIREMENTS
At least 5 years of Fixed Income experience
Knowledge RDMS (Sybase of MS SQL), C/C++ and web server technologies including Java.
Knowledge of C# and .NET a plus.
Experience with Fixed Income in the area terms and conditions for corporate, agencies and municipal bonds.
Bachelor in computer science
