Digital Video Network Conditional Access Support Engineer

GlobeCast, a France Telecom Company, and the world’s leading provider of transmission and production services for television broadcasters, businesses and internet media programmers, has immediate openings for CA Support Engineers in our Culver City, California office.

Candidates selected for these positions will support the testing, implementation, and on-going support of encryption systems serving multiple markets. Additionally, this position will be responsible for developing operations procedures, analyzing growth and recommending course of action to address shortcomings. Job will require 24x7x365 possibility for support as needed.
REQUIREMENTS
Successful candidates will have a 4-year degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience. Must be proficient with major video encryption systems such as Nagravision, Irdeto, Viaccess, CryptoWorks, NDS, or other and have a thorough understanding of broadcast video, encoded video streams (MPEG2/4, VC1), networking technologies (ATM, IP, GigE, Switches, routers) and video encryption technologies. Must have experience interfacing with multiplexers, Subscriber Management Systems, Middleware Servers and other back-office systems. Knowledge of and experience with digital rights management (DRM) such as water-marking, digital copy protection (DCP) and other content management / encryption methods is a plus. Experience generating test plans and manage/performing the ensuing update and testing procedures is required. Must have strong technical writing ability with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to function within a team.
