Diffusion/CVD Process Development Engineer

DIFFUSION / CVD PROCESS DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER

Primary responsibility will be process and manufacturing engineering support for diffusion, oxidation, CVD and PECVD equipment and processes in a 200mm wafer fabrication facility. This will include the following tasks:
�?� Diffusion, CVD and PECVD process development for new products.
�?� Knowledge of Equipment maintenance engineering for diffusion, CVD, and associated metrology tools preferred but not required.
�?� Improve process control and reduce variation through use of statistical analysis and control methods.
�?� Assess, evaluate and implement process improvements for improved product yield, throughput and manufacturability.
�?� Write and maintain equipment maintenance and operating instruction documentation, including control plans and FMEAs.
�?� Working with manufacturing teams, maintain and develop training/certification.
�?� Evaluate, justify, and implement capital and expense purchases for the purpose of throughput, yield, or cost reduction.
REQUIREMENTS
�?� Knowledge with semiconductor diffusion/oxidation, thin film deposition processes preferred but not required.
�?� General knowledge of semiconductor physics, devices, and processes.
�?� Recent and extensive practical approach to engineering issues (�??hands-on�?�).
�?� Knowledge and skills in the use of SPC, DOE, and statistical methods.
�?� General equipment and process problem solving skills, with the ability to work in team situations to solve problems.
�?� Computer skills �?? Experience with statistical analysis software and UNIX a plus. Word, Excel, Powerpoint.
�?� Good written and verbal communication skills. Capable of innovative out-of-the-box thinking.

Bachelor's degree, Chemical Eng. or Material Science preferred. Electrical Eng., Chemistry, Physics or related degree with process engineering experience will be considered.
