Diagnostic Mechanic

Company: North America Mining Job Function: Skilled Trades Job Description: Major Responsibilities: This individual will be a member of the maintenance department providing mechanical equipment support to producing a 5/16 inch continuous copper rod product.

Excellent safety awareness.

Ability to contribute to all 6-points of continuous improvement to include safety, environment, quality, production, cost, and stakeholder relations and development.

Maintains all mechanical equipment in the plant.

Communicates with different departments regarding the equipment.
-Three (3) to Five (5) years experience as a millwright and certificate of technical training and the ability to perform at journeyman level.

Must have excellent communications skills (written and verbal).
Must have computer experience.

Must be a team player.

Must work shift work (rotating shifts).

Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.

Coupling alignment.

Rebuild gear boxes to specified tolerances.

Read and understand mechanic and hydraulic schematics.

Familiarity with preventive maintenance program.

Able to tack weld.Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of air conditioning systems/troubleshoot and repair.

Machining exposure.

Knowledge of basic pipe fitting and craftsman like installation ability.

Advanced welding experience.

Forklift repair.

Basic electrical knowledge.Criteria/Conditions(specific background and skills):
Work is performed in a manufacturing environment. Personal protective equipment is required.
