Development Engineer

The Product Development Engineer will be responsible for all aspects of new product development and commercialization of cast, embossed, blown & packaging films for various film markets. Responsibilities include technical service. 50 % travel is required. Knowledge and experience in Process Engineering/web handling is strongly desired. The individual must understand polymer resin systems, film processing, and physical testing to achieve desired physical, aesthetic, and performance requirements. Strong people skills, a hands-on attitude, ability to handle multiple tasks, attention to detail, and strong communication skills. Design of experiment/ statistics knowledge is needed.
REQUIREMENTS
Must have a four year technical degree with a preference for ChemE or Polymer Science.
Must have a minimum of 3 years experience with at least 1 of the following:
Blown Film
Cast Film
Converted Film
Must have at least two years extrusion experience
Must be able travel 50%
