Design Mgr-Project Engineering

In this position, you will be responsible primarily for providing the facilities process and mechanical engineering expertise for construction projects. You will also be responsible for scope development, engineering, and design to enable the construction of various buildings, facilities and the installation of manufacturing equipment to support semiconductor fabrication facilities including support buildings and systems. Your primary focus is on the process and mechanical engineering discipline. However, your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Managing technical planning, scope development, change management, programming, design, and engineering services during the construction for retrofit and small expansions of existing semiconductor manufacturing facilities
- Interfacing and coordinating with contract design, construction, and estimating resources, and internal Intel organizations to enable facility development efforts for their engineering discipline (efforts will include definition of design criteria, development of design concepts, completion of detailed design, development of project budgets, schedules, and safety requirements, and facilitating project commissioning activities)

Since projects move between locations, you will be required to travel and also undertake temporary business assignments of up to or greater than 12 months.



job Requirements


You should possess a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering or an equivalent, with 10 years of experience in the design and construction of process systems. Additional qualifications include:
- Basic knowledge and understanding of control methods for mechanical and process systems
- Familiar with the design and sizing methods for processing gas and chemical distribution and treatment systems, processing waste systems, and Ultra Pure Water/ RO/DI systems
- Ability to interface with a multi-user customer base and to manage workloads of multiple projects of varying complexity
- Good written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills, and have a working knowledge of office personal computer applications
- Willingness and ability to travel (including temporary business assignments of up to or greater than 12 months)
- Familiarity with Codes would be an added advantage
- Familiarity with engineering methods for designing and sizing HVAC systems, pump and piping systems would be an added advantage
